Choices maketh man

You begin life with a clean slate. Then you begin to make a mark. You begin to have your opinions and you start making choices. You make mistakes – you learn. You realize that life is a series of choices involving risks. It is a cause and effect relation throughout. Nothing ventured -nothing gained. The more I see and experience life, I realize that to know who you really are – step back and take a look at the path you have traversed – your choices define you.

Indeed!

I would like to highlight that the mark you make next is a function of the marks you have made so far. Your decisions hence forth are somehow a result of the your past decisions.

It ends up being a recursive relation. If you wanna know who you are, it is simple to say that all you need to do is look back on the path you have traversed, but then there is more to it than that.

You are your own cause, and the you are again the cause of the cause, and it never ends.

Hmm I kinda agree with both of you...u always take the nxt step based on ur experiences in the past...but I always try to treat life as a 'state function'--- independent of path traversed, but its easier said than done...also when u look back try natural selection..try remembering only the good times
